GDPR Note

With this note we intend to describe the methods of processing of the Personal Data of Users aimed at allowing the online registration and/or subscription of the same to conference and/or institutional events organised and managed by Global Studio. This note is provided pursuant to art. 13 Decree Law 196/2003 and to Regulation EU 679/2016 – GDPR.

The Data Controller of the data processed and used to allow the online registration is Global Studio srl, based at Piazza Duomo 16, 20122 Milano Italy. Data processing related to the web services of this site takes place at the offices of Global Studio srl and is handled by the company staff in charge of processing, as well as by persons in charge of occasional maintenance operations.

Rights of the Data Subject

The Data Subjects to whom the Personal Data refers have the right at any time to obtain confirmation of the existence or otherwise of such data and to know its content and origin, to verify its accuracy or to request its supplementation or updating, or its correction (art. 7 Decree Law 196/2003 and article 18 Reg. EU 679/2016 – GDPR). Under this article, Data Subjects have the right to request deletion, anonymisation or blocking of data only if processed in breach of the law, and the right to object at any time to their processing on legitimate grounds.

The requests must be addressed to Global Studio srl, at the office in question, as Data Controller.

Types of data processed

When a User is registered online, we ask them to enter some Personal Data (in particular Personal Data records and contact details) as well as, if present, the Personal Data of the accompanying person. The Personal Data provided by Users who register online is used by Global Studio srl for the sole purpose of providing the requested service. The data is not disclosed or communicated to third parties, unless such communication is a legal obligation or is strictly necessary for the fulfilment of requests. The User is free to provide the Personal Data contained in the request forms, but in some cases their failure to provide the data (personal details, email, telephone) may make it impossible to obtain the service.

Please note that the credit card number or other information on payment methods can also be requested.

The aforementioned data, required where it is also intended to make a hotel reservation, may be communicated to third parties (e.g. hotels) for purposes strictly connected to the contractual obligations (reservation guarantee).

In order to carry out the contractual activity, it may be appropriate and/or necessary for the User who performs the online registration to also indicate sensitive data (e.g. particular food requirements or physical handicaps). In these cases the law requires the written consent of the Data Subject who, therefore, must download the appropriate form and send the original signed by fax (by email if previously scanned). In the event that the User does not give consent to the processing of the aforementioned data, Global Studio srl will not be able to guarantee the quality of the service offered to the User.

Personal data provided by Users for other purposes (such as subsequent conference notes, commercial promotions, market research) will be used exclusively for the aforementioned other purposes and may be disclosed to third parties only if this is necessary (e.g. service of shipping of promotions).

Global Studio srl only processes Personal Data for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and/or additional notes on privacy for specific services.

In addition to those mentioned above, such purposes include:

·         commercial promotions of Global Studio and events;

·         auditing, research and analysis in order to manage, protect and improve our services;

Processing methods and Protection of information

Personal data is processed with automated tools for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected. Specific security measures are observed in order to prevent data loss, illicit or incorrect use and unauthorised access. The Personal Data processed will be constantly updated and complete, and, to this end, we invite Users to send updated data to make updates or corrections where necessary. Access to Personal Data is limited to employees and external associates of Global Studio srl who need this information in order to carry out their activity, as well as managing, developing and improving our services.
